HADES COUNTY, GEORGIA
Went there once with a ringer from
home : two derelict Jersey kids on
a trolling exposition. Feeding on
snakes and dolphins and fire water
too. Got tangled up in something
ugly as it all went down. If Georgia
has its Iliad, if Georgia has its
Odyssey, I'm in them both.

I don't have a gentle poker hand.
I slap and growl and throw 'em down.
They eat at pretzels who try to stay
calm. The lights go out where the
Devil went down.
