9388. ARCHITECTION

ARCHITECTION
How do you know that won't work?
My barfield banter has temerity like
a lion. To climb great hills and to roar.
Without fear. Freight train heading in.

This shed, it is so marked, was put up,
right here, in 1904. When I was a kid
that used to seem long ago, and now it
seems worse. Can only be. Those glazed
brick patterns, they're quite old-time.
-
Once, long ago, this here was all just
grass and dirt. I can remember it, myself,
as cinders. People used to park their big,
old-style cars here, right on the grass.
Yes; it can still be seen in some old
photos, just like that  -  a different
and amazing world, then.
