THE DEAD-MEAT MAN

He was walking with a stick, and his

carcass of butcher beef. The dead-meat

man delivers. The side of his truck, at the

curb, read 'Major's Meat and Comestibles.'

Whatever that means, I figure it's food.

Or maybe 'estimable meats'? How can

I tell stuff like this? Count my fingers

and counts my feets. Every hamburger

was once an unhappy cow.
