SCIENCE LIKE THIS
The whole idea of laundry is to displace the
grime and oils : the surface sum of chemistry
and biology combined. It's a pretty simple
focus, a disinfected idea to be sure : turbulence
and a cutting soap, a scrubbing and a churning
around. The Catholic Church - or any, I guess -
claims the same can be done with sin by confessions
and penance and such. I do not know. No tangible
evidence leads me on - that stain, the one I wore,
has always, it seemed, remained in place. No good
for that, even less good for me.
Should I say, 'I'm sorry'?
