LITTLE BITTY 1,2,3
Finger cymbals and bicycles,
I seem lost in the land of Caan.
Men speaking of daggers and
ladles and ladies and dogs. This
far out, past the wreaths and
decorations of another time, I
can only remain assured of one
thing for certain : I will not
be closing this out anytime
soon though the sign on the
door says 'Closing Soon.'
They're now selling candy
at cut-rate prices. Whatever
street this is - Cherry or
Irving or Cheery or Vining -
most of the stores are now
unoccupied and closed and
vacated and shuttered. Two
construction guys twiddle
their thumbs at the Sign Of
the Dove. A good place for
lunch, if you're all out of love.
The stationer next door used
to sell parchment paper, but
now does no more. I hate to
tell you this, Wheezy, but
this town is condemned,
for sure.
