DOSE OF MEANING
Emerald globe oh emerald globe :
hung high like a light in the sky,
and remaining in place. Often the
eyes looking up cannot see you,
down, because of that looking up.
So, too, you see the misdirection?

I have just come from the kennels.
There were some fifteen fine dogs,
yapping. All looking about to claim
me as the owner in such a new moment
of claim. But I was not there for that.

It's all the same; how we mix and twist
the traumatic moment into drama known
but to us : I live this crystalline life now
mostly for others. The moon. The stars.
Those ever-yapping dogs...
