THE HANDWRITING
OF THE DEAD
Putting things into perspective works
wonders. I ran across an old slip of
paper today, written on; instructions
by hand of someone now dead. Long
dead. And how strange. Like the ghost
from the bottom now rising to the top.
In Latin, no less - the name of some
Aster flower : 'Symphotricium pilosum:'
There was more, but it was smudged,
and then in English it said :'Hairy-white
Oldfield Aster.' I guess that summed it
up. I looked around - nothing left a
shadow though I did not feel the cold.
