SO MANY CHEAP THINGS
There are so many cheap things I
don't know about. But even less
do I know of the costly stuff. I
was brought up in a frugal manner,
and what I could I stole. What I
couldn't steal, I just took. I wore
a mask of many names, and no one
knew who I really was. Some thought
I was stately and wise; a rich man
run amok. Others saw me, instead,
as a recalcitrant wild bum, a truant
and some. I corrected neither - if
both categories met in the middle,
I'd be OK. OK by me. So many
cheap things; but nothing free.
