10,501. ONE WAY

ONE WAY
One way not to be plagiarized,
or stolen from, or appropriated by
another as their own, is to be so
politically incorrect, or politically
inept, as to be untouchable. No one
else would even dream of saying
that. Another way, of course, is by
particulars, with lots of local color
and specific items and things and
occurrences. Making it clear that
you were there, and making it, as
well, clear that another never was.
-
The ancients also said that one way
to live is to live as if you were already
dead. Now that's quite a different
matter -  a very heady, and a heavy,
one indeed. Yet, it too has much of
value. Living as if you were already
dead, certainly, I'd figure, allows
 for no regrets.
-
I'm sort of in-between : Being still
alive -  as I see it anyway  -  but still
restless and held 'at-large.' Like a
coffee-stain circle, on a surface of
wood, always sinking in, growing
wider, and spreading while growing
more permanent too.
