SO LET'S ASK A PIG ABOUT BACON
The year goes around again, like water over
the top of Lexworth Dam; the trickle is always
running, but it's only noticed at the other end
of the dam, where the accumulation of Lexworth
Lake can be seen.

Soon it will be February again, and that never
appointed character named Phil will be dragged
out anew. To tell us the weather? Five days later
no one ever remembers the conclusion anyway:
Did he predict more Winter or not? I already
forget.

The small crown of 'rural' locals stand about.
To either hem or haw about anything like that
makes little sense. The chomping crowd will
applaud and the TV cameras will bend for best
viewing. This rodent knows nothing at all.
