HOW THIS HOTEL
SERVES BURNT TOAST
The rooms on the third floor are very nice,
except for the lack of an elevator; making
it a tedious climb. I don't know the vintage
of this place, but the year must have been
sublime : room service not yet invented,
and by the time the stairs were climbed
most things were already cold. My friend
said 'Search for a dumb waiter, they must
have had one around.'

At first I thought that to be a snotty comment,
but then I realized what he meant. And it made
a lot of sense.
