PARKLAND HOSPITAL
When they said the President was
coming I didn't think they meant
in that way. Why would he visit a
Texas hospital? I thought to myself.
Not realizing what had already
occurred. He was dead.
-
It was late 1963, and that sedate
old world was already over by
4pm. Christpher Columbus could
not have done it any better. A nation
was awash, and was newly being
introduced unto itself.
-
Had even Lincoln razed these these
barriers, the ruination would have
not have been the same - the old
country was not enthralled in the
same manner with itself. Oh, it
came close, but was not a match.
-
In field photos of those older days,
a Civil War group of ragged soldiers
is seen in a clearing next to a tetradactyl
they had bagged, dead on the ground
after shooting it from the sky, they
claimed. If a 1963 American had tried
that stunt such a person would have
been sent to the grassy knoll and shot,
and we'd still be tending a media blitz
about all of that.
-
There was little to do but absorb the
rest. Adapt the new world, carry it as
our own, and take its new changes
to wherever they would lead us.
And, yes, there's your difference,
in such a grand nutshell.
