NUDGE
Some have come and others have gone
but there's no wide opening for anyone
more. This doorway closes up at six. I
might have known you were coming, but
even had I, you're always late as it goes.
-
That's not a hint as much as a nudge. Get
your premise in order, promise me that.
Who baked these marbles into the pound
cake? Do you know that guy who just
broke his tooth? Boy, he was pissed.
-
Have you ever noticed, Sandy, how no
one likes anything until it has a name?
It's weird - Once there's a new disease,
or a newly breaking syndrome, and they
begin making something for it, real or not,
everyone suddenly wants to have it. I
call that 'Neo-Hypochondria,' and some
people get real bad cases. It used to be
that people were happy just being healthy;
now they all want the latest disease.
