One great history deserves another. You
can decide. The kids around the candy
store used to pick through the magazines.
Not so, anymore. They'll all got phones
and get their history straight.

Their mothers, probably all dead now,
knew nothing of this - pilferage, dirty
magazines, stealing looks and candy both.
How is that such a world turned us out?

Boisterous to the metal, we were loud.
Everyone's Dad was always at work. In
the dark, Winter evenings, they'd drive
home in their vintage cars - avoiding
our snow mounds and iced-over puddles.
Few words were exchanged, but it was
time to go inside. One great history
deserves another : You can decide.
