MY FIRST CENTURY
Mostly all I did was sit around and
read books. Others chased money
and fame. Mostly I looked, while
they touched. All the same. Life
was worth saving - some said -
while others just cursed, 'it's a
game.' Every castle had a moat
and drawbridge too - sometimes
running water, others not. You
did what you had to do. Those
kings, back then, they were quite
like a fever - all raging hot and
and fiery, through and through.
