6616. NATURALISM ONCE MORE

NATURALISM ONCE MORE
Wren, cardinal, superstar robin. Skylark,
oriole, overdone blackbird. The sky is once
more filled with humming  -  the hundred
noises of spring chickadees and the reveries
of sound they bring. I never want to leave this
Millbrook riverbank. I will sit here until I wither.
-
This life is a calliope of happiness, mostly.
There are divisions, and there are cuts, but
they are passing things. I withstand most
any assault, and I know now that
nothing lasts forever.
