I GOT LOST
I got lost for sure in those treacherous catacombs
of succor and reason - the honey-filled stuff of
a cardinal dismay. Ignoring the rafts of right and
wrong floating by me, I sailed the churning sea
on my own small craft. I turned into the grotto,
entered the seaside cave, and was never seen
nor heard again. I bottomed out in a catacomb
of darkness, with no one else around.
-
'I think I know you', I muttered to no one
in particular. The only sound I got back was
the returning echo of ten thousand
other silent voices of one.
