I LEFT AT INTERMISSION
Holding the long leaf of the
dining room table, where it
was crowded with fans of
Xavier Dunne - they had
all come to praise him, but
only after the mean was done.
No sense giving up the free
ticket to dine. Two men came
in wearing bed-slippers, it
seemed, and then someone
said 'It's the latest fashion
from Rheims.' Yeah, I felt
the same way, and left
at intermission.
