I TARRY AMONG YOU
I tarry among you but I don't
know why; I am of the stars
instead, like a cosmic dust
roiling the dread. Leave me
alone, but please do not leave
me alone. See that vain profusion
I inhabit. Conflicted as a parable,
gone bad and literal as a verb.
-
This candle, with its flame,
moves not - though the flame
throws moving shadows. What
is candle, and what is the flame?
Can one be one, without the
other? Same?
