I heard a foolman say : 'Your
family will prosper here.' Pretty
stupid words, thought I, and then
the conflagration ensued. They
first took the train station : 14 men
from Highfields coming in with guns
and bullets, calling themselves the
Regimental Mendicants.They held
the station for a half-day or less, and
then the State guys came and shut it
down again with bigger firepower.
So, who wins in these silly games?

Fourteen days later, the same idea
breaks out somewhere else. The future,
which never existed anyway, starts
falling off the cliff. Town by town
things get chopped apart. Resistance
cells and little cadres.

They say that History repeats itself.
Hegel, Spengler, all of that. Maybe
that's true - and it probably is - but
by that logic we're in for a long siege.
