Not that diagnosis, not the one I sought : this befuddled
little Pennsylvania man is stunned. Seemingly, I've now
destroyed his 55 years as a medical man. I ignore the rest.

I go out to sit on his chair - a great, old porch, perched
up above the valley, and four huge wicker chairs. He's
even got two horses idling time in the pasture to the left.
There's nothing I can say - these big old country doctors
are tough, and I hope thy can always take a licking.
