6716. DOG HALLORAN

DOG HALLORAN
There's a testament walking these streets in a hood;
he says anything he wants and gets away with it good.
-
His father was a soldier in the not-so-great war; lost
two limbs and never walked again. had a stump for
a left hand, and only one eye. Satisfied now, anyone?
-
There's a testament running these streets in a hood;
puts down any man he thinks he should.
-
His mother was a broken down dancer without any
luck : all those stories of strange always stuck. Fell off
the stage, got a broken neck. Has never been back yet.
-
So, he trudges where he may, he's a legendary guy :
panhandles, gets dollars for fleece, smokes expensive
cigarettes (ain't they all now?), and recites his Emily
Dickinson, and I my Robert Frost. And I my
Robert Frost.
