5059. YOU ARE ALL MY VALENTINE

YOU ARE ALL MY VALENTINE
And then you are again : my nose is dripping
blood to color roses red, while, yes, my heart is
beating a new beat to make new music. Something
never heard before. I am crummy in parts, and so
grand in others, and you will all be true to me; my
Valentines forever, you all will be. Remember, perhaps
in third or second grade, those little heart cards passed
around, and the tiny heart-shaped candies bearing tiny
words? 'Be mine'. All that tiny stuff. Love at age eight
was something bigger and more grand than all the world.
Now, so far on, later, it still is, can be, should; it's just
us, I suppose, and all the world that's changed. I will
be your Valentine forever, if only you'll be mine.
