THE LAST TIME I SAW PARIS
In maybe 1964, with the tremble of
an odor of time, I may have, but that
doesn't seem right either because I was
somewhere else. DeGaulle and Belmondo,
they both seemed together in the Elysee
Palace, but really only one of them
was there. Breathless? Oh, maybe.
-
There were other things too - nothing I
much noticed, but nice anyway. Brigitte
Bardot, John Paul Sartre, and Simon
de Beauvoir too! Where else would
I go?
-
The Pope was underneath his mantle of
crust; still trying to change the world.
