THE BUGLER'S OASIS
The dance school insisted on
teaching the Lindy Hop. I said
'What?' and then I said 'Why?'
Mr. Sparklay said 'It was a craze
dance in the 1920's, after the
Charles Lindbergh air flights.
Short hops, to here and there,
in a plane; which was all new
back then. Some people like
things like that, so we offer it,
but there's no one here left now
who ever actually 'danced' it.
They've all died off, and what's
left are others teaching what
they 'learned' as it. So, who
knows now?'
