EURASIAN DEVILS
When they come here it will be on ships
with cargo holds loaded with people :
Walmart toys and other joys, cascading
columns of ripple. There's too much
now to wash away. Eurasian Devils
like flies swarm.

The city streets will be lined with new
fears - news of the day will not matter,
but the zippers on high will still light
up the sky with events and locations
and patter. No one looks up from their
screens, so no notifications are needed.

The oldsters will talk of the days long
behind them, when all things were
different and this was the land of the
free. 'It don't matter now', the old geezer
cracked, 'we've let in our own enemy!'
