12,801. AFRAID NOW

AFRAID NOW
The April Blossoms Festival was
cancelled this year, so all the
people showed up anyway; without
a real care. The panic trees put forth
their flowers nicely, and then the
May  breezes blew them away.
Like dreams.  Petals of fear were
seen blowing down Main. Petals
of doubt on MacArthur. An entire
limb was found, ripped from the
trunk at the corner of Adams and
Lark. Purple blossoms coated the
lanes of Carlton Place, where the
schools had been all shut down
and only silence was in place.
