10,458. BRINGING MY SHOES

BRINGING MY SHOES
There's a land where the tall trees thump,
and fall, and land decidedly solid. There
are things beneath them then that no
longer see the light of day. I wear my
shoes for that, and hope to be able to
stay, if any assistance is needed.
-
A metaphysician by trade, I only work
at night when the darkness hovers. All
around me, only good things are shaking.
I need so very little after dusk. It's the
rest of the day that does all the taking:
those hours from 8-to-4; a mess.
