LONG LINES AND
MANY WORDS
An old bluesman trick is this: on a long
line, you sing all the first words quickly,
and then slow it down - that leaves you
time to fool around with the last words,
slow them down, twist and fumble the
sounds, in unexpected ways. People
will think you've got a speech
impediment. That keeps up
their attention to you.
Nothing fades.
