I WENT HOMEWARD
(the land of Vex)
This boat was listing and it
felt sideways all along the
sea, with waves roiling the
boat and the boat roiling me.
Between my bouts of nausea
over the side, I'd think to myself
of the difference between roiling
and rolling, and which should be
used in reference to boating.

Now isn't that a dainty dish to set
before the king? But, anyway, I
was heading home, and that's what
counted. Headache or not. Was my
own forehead boiling, or broiling?
Oh, not again! That same, king,
by the way, was in his counting
house counting out his money
-
....while I went homeward
to my land of milk and honey?
