5576. MY STELLAR DISPATCH

MY STELLAR DISPATCH
(4:oo pm)
I have reported all the dark things, all the deep.
The happy and the lark-like, the stellar and the
meek. Now I close my case, keeping all those
things within. Instead, today, I wallow and I simply
list : Studebaker, Motorola, the key exchange, the
parlor chair, the porch behind the restaurant, the lady
in the bar, the man with those horrid teeth.
-
The flower on the metal landscape; all those big,
glass buildings. everything stretches in this heat  -
even that woman's shadow seems longer than before.
We've got charm here by the bucketful, a few seagulls
flying while the nearby boats sit idle, people drinking
beer on a ledge. Outside of that, nothing more bears noting.
