MY PAPER HALLOWEEN
In 1797 I camped with Craig Sassoon;
his wife was Mary Tyler, whom I took
into their room. Love, love, love, and
the eaglet cried. The mask I wore was
of papier mache : a blizzard of a buzzard,
with sweat on my brow. No one recognized.
-
Saratoga to Tupper Lake; a revolutionary idea
of the Revolutionary War. My soldiers had frozen
feet, with rags and papers enwrapped. Some men
died and we placed them - dead - where they fell.
Not everyone had kin; one to one to one.
-
Ritz Crackers and a general malaise : can
you say that again? Can you say that again?
Can you say that again?
