MAKING THINGS UP
The Annals of Heaven; yes, I wrote
them in 1971. Big seller too; reviewed
in Poetry Magazine, AND The Little
Magazine by Enro Hudson and James
Alter. I probably sold about 8,000
copies. My publisher never did catch
up; everyone ended up mad over not
receiving their copy.

It's so easy to screw things up, and
easier just to make them up.
