WHAT ARE YOU READING NOW?
Timetables mostly. The damned things never
run on time, yet they keep posting these lines.
Everything goes back to source, as I see it,
and it should be by an easy method. Youngstown
to Pittsburgh; New York and Albany bound.
-
I left Lima, Ohio, for Cleveland; a simple
northeast - it was basic direction, nothing
forward, nothing back. And then I made
it to Williamsport, Pa; but there wasn't a
rail to be found. The library there was
filled with only baseball books - Little
Leaue World Series stuff, and batting tips.
-
What's a person to do, generally, when
the books and the idols are gone? When
the turgid believers have all left for home?
What are you reading now? A guidebook
to ancient Rome?
