ONCE
Some may have thought to stem
the tides - once. But nothing can
stop the ocean; it has a glean and
a very automatic mind of its own.

Can that be said? I wonder. Nature
is not really a mind, though it does
maintain itself. Wholly without
cognition - or, as we know it,
'thinking.' What a mess this is.

knowledge of the Easter Bunny?
Though one is Nature, I guess,
while the other is not. In any
case, my funny bone is starting
up. To make a weather joke here
of both, let me just say:

Christmas Nor Easter.
