WHAT MOST PEOPLE SEE
Things are different, what people see;
some see the forest, others the trees.
As bothersome as that cliche may be,
it makes some sense, and works for me.

Here in Stedham Junction, we mostly
see nothing at all - men are mute
and woman call, but only to find a
certain deafness beneath it all. It's
the kind of place where it's tough
to be; there isn't a forest.
There's hardly a tree.
