11,666. CRIPS AND JINGLES

CRIPS AND JINGLES
Legally, and in that special way,
I am watching the Downcross kids
once more at play. You can't go
anywhere from here anyway.
-
The roads are closed with coalfire
icicles, monoglass eyeballs, and
softball troubadors. They're all
at play on these fields of the Lord.
-
Out in the harbor, boats and ship
vie for attention. Ambling, and
with thick water-chauffers, I
watch the fat girls go by.
-
Over there, three years back, some
ancient, large house burnt down.
Now they've put up three in its
place. Just as good as nothing,
and with a better purse?
-
Real estate jangles steel nerves.
The dogs are barking again .
Yesterday I was in Dover.
Today, like Crips and Jingles
too, I am here once more.
