ALL MY WARRANTLESS
FEATURES
The thumbprints of fingers have been scraped off my
face; my fingerprints as well, long ago gone. I've lost
the cleft in my chin, and my eyebrows, shaved and
re-painted now resemble nothing at all. All my
warrantless features can keep me at bay. Alone
yet warm on a frigid beach. Single and cold in
a big, sweaty crowd. Who cheers for what?
I don't know. I have warrantless features now.

I can't go shopping in a bunker. Cinder-block walls
and no windows at all : fifty-year-old crackers to dip
in your tea. Five ducks, all in a row. The water is
out of the pool, and this 'ain't no' Holiday Inn.
