IF I TOOK....
If I took time out to undue the
chivalry, would the results bear
better earning? More gets done
with fire than with salve? Oh
Lordy, I'm so tired of that.

The shed was built on an altar to
God; some sacred spot once used by
Natives with hopes for Ascension, or
Annunciation; I forget which. The
Fire God, a broken dragon, an image
of vast pine trees a'fire...each of those
images was on the walls of that cave.

I came on foot, and I left in a wagon,
on my back, facing up to the sky. In
my visionary dream was I dead?
Or alive?
