9923. CARMICHAEL PANTS

CARMICHAEL PANTS
I shuffled the dominoes while he stacked
the cards. Two ultra-real jerks dialing for
dollars. The Mexican roofers were up on
the roof. Santa Anita winds can blow them
back to Capistrano, for all I'd care. I'm done
with tacos and bananas. The guy in the old,
blue Mustang is still sitting out front in that
stupid looking car, only made worse by its
color blue. Some people never learn.

Here the fissured remnant of a world that
once was. The museum guide wears a blue
suit, I notice, too, emblazoned with a logo
I don't care for either.
