9917. TO THE DREAM I LOST IN THE WIND

TO THE DREAM I
LOST IN THE WIND
That's police talk for an easy collar that
got away. OK, so it's not  -  but it's cool
and lyrical and wouldn't it be neat if it was.
And if the whole world was a sing-song drill
like of strings or pearls made from only the
most poetic words and formulations. No more
of that stiff-lipped Sargent Friday stuff. I'd
take it for sure. It would give a different
meaning to the phrase: 'I don't know what
you're saying, I'm not sure what you mean.'
