NOT FAR FROM GAIN,
TOO CLOSE TO LOSS
Things have gotten pretty messed
up around her, of late. I can't say
whether that's right, or wrong. They
just have their own way of being,
and they're doing that well, I guess.
No splitting the differences anyway.
There's nothing to be gained.

Booker T. Washington, it was, who
wrote 'Up From Slavery.' Now I
wish that was my title to own as
well. Bondage carries near as many
enemies as it has friends to be. I
can't count the betweens, nor the
likenesses either. All things just
are what they are. Goodness?

There's a hurt that bespeaks
another hurt, and then another
one as well - they all carry
each other, following, like
crazy ducklings, all in a row.
