11,532. MARY O'ROURKE HAS BEEN FOUND AT HOME

MARY O'ROURKE HAS
BEEN FOUND AT HOME
And after all this time too : the
whole town had been looking
under rocks and behind buildings,
searching dumpsters and alleys
too. Now she's been found at
home; there's no  more searching
to do. (Yet no one is relieved. They
were secretly enjoying it too). Now
the clothesline at 21 Smith Street
is busy again and the back door to
Odifer's shed is once more closed.
(Just goes to show how it goes).
Old Jake, in his workshop, is back
to planing wood and sanding his
boards; the kids at the backstop
are shooting baskets once more.
Those three mothers, with their
kids, always gathered by Kendall
and Marla Streets, are back to their
benches and giving kids treats.
The sunlight once more plays
the harps of their hair. The old
guys are back to their seats.
