4467. THE RISE AND FALL OF THE PETER-METER

THE RISE AND FALL OF THE PETER-METER
(Adam and Eve again)
And then Adam said once more : 'Seditionaires
we are, and screw all this. Put some clothes on
now and let's beat this place. This blows. Which
reminds me, that wasn't so bad, mate of me. Oh
man, I'm already starting to love this stuff.'
-
And Eve said to Adam : 'Come touch me, gentle,
lightly. Let us!' And Adam said back : 'OK'. The OK,
in cuneiform-block ever since, has been misread
and misconstrued as an apple visual. And then Adam
recalled their first time : 'remember when I said 'stand
back, woman, I don't know how big this thing gets?'
-
I may have this tall tail all backwards, but none of
that. And, anyway, such is the point.
