TRADING GOODS
AND SERVICES
AND SERVICES
Lined up like stallions at the service gate,
they stand anxious and stranded, these people
do, pouring eyes into dark glasses and all
that love (betokened excess, cast as spoof)
into cups. It's a wonder that together we even
exist. Yes, I will walk by the fairgrounds with
you; and look, look how startling that black
man appears! He has a cigarette perched on
his ear, as if it were a carpenter's pencil!
'For future use,' you say, 'for his
possible future use!'
-
It's always like that: we arrive swiftly, with
a scalding cry, as the doctors slap an
ass - 'for future use!' I've heard them
say, 'for future use at another day!'
-
I want to gather a book of my own
specious sayings and give it away:
'Life is a walk in the woods,' 'this
house is all walls, no windows or
doors,' 'he hears you, but he can't
do a thing.' (..to give it away, for
possible use in a future day...)
