3690. HAPPY HEART

HAPPY HEART
Do you know how sometimes you
just need to ask a question to which
you already know the answer  -  to see
how the subject responds, how the
answer is given; with clarity and swiftly,
or with an obfuscation accompanied by
a hesitation. The means of answering,
not the answer itself, becomes the thing
you judge against. Oh judge, jury
and executioner, then, be.
-
Yet, yes, and more  -  the fat clouds
are rolling by. Do you see them? The
air is like a lemon drop. Can you sense
that? Is your spirit all at-large, a'float
like a dirigible? Oh, say, will you
answer my question?
-
This one small step deserves another,
yes, for I have only a happy heart.
