ends of the landsman's long rope will
no longer tie me down. I will have
tasted Freedom, and Death, again.

I've been there before : crushed by
6 tons of engine-steel, a wallowing
crevice that took me in. Blood and
muscle. Crushed, not hushed.

Little leave-taking is left. I'll doff my
hat and say so-long. Like my Grandma
used to say: 'Never say good-bye, always
say so long.'
