POLIDORO
Sunshine beams a reflective edge.
It is said that 'Polidoro' means
'many gifts.' If so, this in one.
-
The cold wind excites the face,
even freezing the wet chin, if
you let it. Not much to be said
or done over that.
-
I walk around with a fever. The
lady in the pharmacy is dragging
her cart and she has a pronounced
lame-leg-limp. I watch her a while
before she finally leaves.
-
Past the small bookcase of free
junk books. Airline stuff, crap to
read on a long flight to nowhere.
'Not worth the paper used to print
it on.' Value judgement again?
-
The door opens automatically, and
the cold wind ushers itself in, as
another gift of the everyday.
