IN THE REALM OF OTHERWISE
In the realm of otherwise there are
many alternatives: Otherwise I will
die. Otherwise I can be nothing.
Otherwise I cannot live without
you. Interpreting all these dreams
and nightmares keeps me busy,
but sick, as well. Might I say,
sick as Hell?

All my life I've been haunted. I've
been told so, others say; without
me ever knowing what they're going
by to make that assertion. If I am
haunted, it is by my hauntings alone.
I've otherwise always been fairly
good with the world : no ghosts
behind closet doors; no steam
rising in the shape of ghouls from
a boiling tea kettle.

I guess that means I'm OK? But
I don't even know what to look
for these days. Otherwise I
would begin looking.
