AVIATOR
All these young men flying
to the stars, keeping a place
captive to their attentions.
Where have they learned
all these things?
-
Weathers and formations,
cloud patterns and winds -
deadly or fierce or peacefully
slow - so many observations
need to be made.
-
The distant velocity of travel
and speed must be what attracts
them to this game - to fly over
home, or to buzz the lake. A
comic's sport, I guess, if ever
there was one.
-
Their travel must make them
wiser, else why would they
undertake these tasks? It cannot
be for what they bring home -
empty air and unbound energy.
-
Empty air, and unbound energy.
